Samantha Ebner


Having graduated from a degree in Natural Sciences and a Masters in Environmental Engineering, Samantha joined Veolia Water UK in 2010 as a Technical Graduate throughout the water industry before moving to commissioning a wastewater treatment plant. On completion of the Brighton & Hove wastewater treatment plant she began an Environmental Advisor for the region.

In 2014 she joined a team aiming to optimise the Thames Water 5-year investment and upgrade plan through innovative solutions on a lifetime cost basis.

On completion of the contract, she was offered the opportunity to move abroad and join the Veolia Middle East office in Dubai as Technical & Performance Coordinator, then Technical & Performance Manager. During this time, she attained the status of Chartered Environmental with CIWEM (Chartered Institute for Water and Environmental Management).

Since early 2019 she has been Head of Digital Transformation & IT for Veolia Middle East, delivering a stretching target to create a regional Hubgrade for remote monitoring and control, create a digital and collaborative culture and create efficiencies through operational software and hardware as well as managing the implications in the Middle East of global merger for IT & Digital.

In Jacobs, Samantha has been working a numerous topic within the Intelligent Transformation team. With her specialization in utilities, she has been leading on emerging technology, innovation and digital for a District Energy strategy and helping to shape a digital transformation for a sewage company.
